Caan, The Crookes, Music Robot and Two Wounded Birds on this weeks shows..

24/07/12 Beatwolf Radio 6-8pm

There are few musical news items in life that truly shock me but the demise of Ou Est Le Swimming Pool was really tragic and shocking turn of events. When I heard Caan had gone solo I was intrigued to hear his output and I was not disappointed.  I caught up with him on his latest tour alongside manager and ex-band colleague Joe to chat about his forthcoming debut record, his sound and what its like to go solo after such a life changing experience. There will also be tales of events and highlights from this weekends Tramlines Festival in Sheffield and more new music as always..

An album I’ve been waiting to hear for the past 18 months is here, Two Wounded Birds – Margates very own retro troubadours released their debut album recently and joined me at this years Dot To Dot Festival for chats. This weeks album of the week is Inspired by last weekends Tramlines Festival in Sheffield, one of two exceptional albums to come out of Sheffield this year, The Crookes‘ Hold Fast will be in the spotlight.  The other album incidentally is from their friend and musical stalwart Richard Hawley  which is blinding, with a casket overflowing with new sounds, you’d be daft to miss this..
